Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Perform job duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, and operate various industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership and support to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing, including site inspections using QCIs.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, ensure proper handling of cleaning solutions, report equipment needs, and adhere to infection control policies.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communication.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions and adherence to instructions.
  • Experience: Demonstrate positive, tactful interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside in the service area.
