Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program provides a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately 16 weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training, focusing on various management aspects such as:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform tasks related to housekeeping, heavy housekeeping/floor tech, and laundry operations, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in staff training, quality control, and in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service expectations are met, adhering to all applicable standards and policies.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenses, supplies, personnel, and equipment, and prepare reports for management.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and documentation using QCIs, with regular site assessments.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from management and client staff to HCSG team members.
  • Safety: Use PPE, handle cleaning solutions safely, report equipment needs, and follow infection control protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, arrive on time, and respond promptly to communication systems.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by being courteous and cooperative with staff and residents.
  • Experience: Maintain positive, tactful interactions with residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks daily.
  • Leadership skills to operate independently post-training, without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residence within the service area.
