Job summary

The Queen's Health Systems Corporation. seeks a Manager of Environmental Services (EVS) to oversee housekeeping operations for an assigned area in a full-time, day-shift capacity in Hawaii.

The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards, supporting infection prevention, and ensuring patient and staff safety. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent EVS experience, plus five years in EVS/Housekeeping/Linen with at least two years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; or four (4) years of progressively responsible Environmental Services experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) preferred.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible Environmental Services, Housekeeping, or Linen Services experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
• Acute care hospital Environmental Services leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of Environmental Services operations for assigned area.
• Achieves departmental goals related to cleanliness, infection prevention, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stewardship.
• Ensures effective utilization of human, financial, equipment, and material resources.
• Oversees coordination of environmental services with Nursing, Patient Flow, Infection Prevention, Facilities Management, Safety, Human Resources, and other departments.
• Ensures areas maintain cleanliness and safety standards while supporting throughput and quality outcomes.
