Job summary

Vitality Living Overlook is seeking an Environmental Services Director to oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and safety across the community. This hands-on role leads the team, manages preventive maintenance, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

The candidate will coordinate repairs, train staff, manage budgets and vendor contracts, and participate in emergency preparedness and resident safety. Strong communication and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC).
• Knowledge of regulations for assisted living/memory care communities; health/certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping and safety operations to keep the community welcoming and well-maintained.
• Lead, train, and manage environmental services and housekeeping team members.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and inspections; address maintenance requests promptly.
• Manage maintenance budgets, supplies, vendor contracts, and services; assist with capital projects.
• Maintain safety equipment, regulatory documentation, and compliance with building, fire, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
• Provide on-call emergency maintenance and support resident evacuation procedures.
