Job summary

Vitality Living is seeking an Environmental Services Director to oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and safety operations in our community. You will lead and train teams, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, budget management, and coordination with facilities and operations to support safe, high-quality living experiences for older adults.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of verifiable hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or HVAC.
• Knowledge of regulations for assisted living and memory care communities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and safety operations for residents and staff.
• Lead, train, coach, and manage environmental services and housekeeping teams.
• Implement preventive maintenance, inspections, and address maintenance requests promptly.
• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and services; support capital projects.
• Ensure safety compliance with building, fire, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
