Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain clean, safe patient rooms and public areas. You will perform cleaning tasks, dispose of waste, stock supplies, and follow infection prevention guidelines.

High school diploma required; 2+ years in environmental services preferred. Night shift; full-time position with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, high dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making and vacuuming.
• Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Documents all work that has been performed.
• Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and ancillary rooms in assigned areas.

Job Description:

• Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Documents all work that has been performed.
• Stocks cart daily with paper products and cleaning solutions.
• Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and ancillary rooms in assigned areas. Other duties as assigned. Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste. Trains employees, addresses concerns and resolves problems. Includes validation of Associate expectations and accountability of front‑line team members.
