Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate for the night shift. You will perform cleaning tasks across patient rooms and public areas, ensure infection control standards, and maintain cleanliness and safety per established protocols.

Responsibilities include waste disposal, restocking supplies, and documenting tasks completed. Prior environmental services experience and basic computer skills are required; leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of environmental services experience required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English is required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner.
• Performs cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making and vacuuming.
• Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up.
• Cleans assigned areas daily and sanitizes all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and supplies; operates cleaning equipment correctly.
• Trains employees, addresses concerns and resolves problems; ensures accountability.
• Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and ancillary rooms.
• Disposes of waste including biohazardous material.
