Responsibilities include inspections, restrooms, bed moves, stocking, training new hires, and responding to emergencies, all to maintain clean, safe patient areas.

This role emphasizes adherence to department protocols, safety policies, and quality standards while supporting the broader hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience.
• 1-3 years of environmental services experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and take corrective action based on QA scores.
• Maintain high standards and achieve high QA scores.
• Ensure restrooms are cleaned and restocked per department protocols.
• Perform cleaning, floor care and project assignments as directed.
• Move beds, change mattresses, stock supplies and related duties.
• Complete weekly projects as designated by supervisor.
• Train new hires on department cleaning protocols and retrain staff not meeting standards.
• Respond to emergencies, spills and other urgent needs.
