Job summary

Certerra seeks a Group Leader of Environmental Services in Tucson, AZ, to supervise projects, mentor staff, and expand business activity. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, or industrial hygiene.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training with current updates.
• Professional registration as engineer/geologist or CIH/CSP preferred.
• AHERA accreditations for asbestos inspector, management planner, contractor supervisor, site monitor, and abatement designer.
• EPA or State certifications for lead-based paint risk assessor.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with environmental, building sciences and industrial hygiene.
• Valid driver’s license acceptable per our insurance policy
• Clear pre-hire drug screen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel and projects, direct field activities, review data, and develop recommendations.
• Mentor staff on tasks, encourage training and career development, and guide competencies.
• Develop client relationships, promote growth, and prepare winning proposals for government contracts.
