Job summary

Miller Environmental Group is seeking a Foreman to lead field operations in Lancaster, NY. This hands-on role covers environmental cleanup, spill response, decontamination, and basic remediation with a focus on safety and on-time completion.

You will guide a crew, coordinate daily tasks, and support both emergency response and scheduled projects in demanding outdoor environments. Strong teamwork and readiness for overtime are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends, holidays, and on-call (potentially night).
• Ability to wear respirators and meet OSHA respiratory protection and facial hair requirements.
• Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn and try new things.
• Effective coordination with personnel and clients; strong communication, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Basic math, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must pass fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety briefings and tailgate meetings.
• Work hands-on with crew, guiding daily tasks.
• Oversee daily crew task assignments and site organization.
• Safely operate and direct use of tools and equipment.
• Prepare and submit accurate job reports and logs.
• Escalate staffing, equipment, material, or site issues promptly.
• Maintain site safety and housekeeping at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned
