Job summary

Miller Environmental Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking Field Laborers / Technicians for environmental cleanup, spill response, and basic remediation tasks. This on-site role requires physical work, strong safety focus, and the ability to work 8–12+ hour shifts, nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old (21+ in some locations).
• Valid, unrestricted drivers license (non-CDL).
• Ability to lift 4050 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental cleanup, industrial cleaning, and decontamination work under supervision.
• Assist with spill response, emergency deployments, and basic remediation tasks.
• Handle, package, and transport contaminated materials in compliance with regulations.
• Wear, maintain, and properly use PPE.
• Perform strenuous physical labor including digging, lifting, shoveling, debris removal, and hose handling.
• Support vacuum truck operations (hose handling, spotting, equipment setup).
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain basic site records such as container or material counts.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and required training.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues.
