Job summary

UW Health is seeking an Environmental Services Floor Technician for the East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. This 100% FTE, 2nd shift role runs from 5:00pm to 1:30am, Sunday through Thursday, and focuses on floor care, cleaning and disinfecting facilities to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior cleaning or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of continuous employment with a single employer preferred.
• Previous cleaning and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care and maintenance of all floor types within the organization.
• Clean and disinfect UW Health facilities following proper procedures, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff by using correct cleaning protocols.

We are seeking a Environmental Services Floor Technician to:

• Perform floor care responsibilities in protecting and preserving of floor surfaces to maintaining appropriate appearance and cleanliness.
• Perform maintenance, upkeep, and restoration of all floor types within the organization.
• Perform a wide variety of duties including cleaning and disinfecting UW Health facilities, utilizing proper procedures, equipment, and cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

• If position requires driving a company vehicle, the following requirements apply:
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rated for 15 or more passengers
• Ability to be insured by Hospital's risk management insurer which requires
  • (1) a valid Wisconsin driver's license and
  • (2) successfully passing a driving background check Required
