Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in Oregon is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep guest and public areas spotless, safe, and welcoming. You will clean guest rooms, lobbies, kitchens, restrooms, and back-of-house areas, while reporting maintenance needs and supporting event setups.

Ideal candidates are friendly, over 21, with a GED or HS diploma, and able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. The role emphasizes teamwork and clear communication in a busy casino environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep spaces safe, clean, and inviting for guests and team.
• Clean all assigned areas including guest spaces, back-of-house areas, restrooms, and public spaces.
• Transport trash and supplies between areas as needed.
• Assist in setting up tables and chairs for events.
• Report maintenance needs promptly to supervision.
• Communicate status and issues to oncoming shift.
• Support team and adapt to other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table

• Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Cleans and maintains all assigned areas, including slot machines and chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, corridors, public spaces, elevators, stairways, and locker areas.
• Keeps all departmental equipment and work areas clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and polishes floors; cleans carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, blinds, doors, and sills to maintain a bright and polished environment.
• Empties and cleans waste containers and ashtrays, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
• Transports trash and waste to designated disposal or recycling areas, keeping pathways and work zones clear and safe.
• Replenishes supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and work areas to maintain readiness and guest satisfaction.
• Operates departmental vehicles and cleaning equipment-including vacuums, lifts, ladders, and extractors-safely and efficiently.
• Transports small equipment, tools, and supplies between departments or buildings as needed to support team operations.
• Assists in setting up tables, chairs, and other furnishings for meetings, banquets, or special events.
• Reports maintenance or repair needs promptly to a Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance personnel to ensure timely resolution.
• Communicates clearly with the oncoming shift to provide status updates, project progress, and any issues that need attention.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
