Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in Medford, OR is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member to keep our spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and team members. You will clean guest rooms and public areas, report safety concerns, and support the team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced casino environment.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexible hours including weekends, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to accomplish work tasks by a given deadline.
• Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations.

Responsibilities

• Keep spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for guests and the team; report safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Cleans slot machines, rooms, lobbies, dining areas, kitchens, rest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
• Maintains departmental equipment and other work areas.
• Sweeps, mops, waxes, and cleans floors; dusts and polishes surfaces.
• Cleans walls, windows, and woodwork; services doors and sills.
• Empties waste containers and transports trash to disposal areas.
• Replenishes restroom and kitchen supplies; operates departmental vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Transports small equipment between departments; sets up tables and chairs for events.
• Reports maintenance concerns to Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance personnel.
• Communicates status of projects and concerns to on-coming shift.

What you bring to the table

• Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Cleans slot machines, slot chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, rest rooms, corridors, public areas, elevators, stairways, and locker areas.
• Cleans and maintains departmental equipment and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and polishes floors, cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and cleans woodwork, washes windows, blinds, door panels, and sills.
• Empties and cleans waste containers and ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area and disposes of in compactor or recycle container.
• Replenishes restrooms, kitchen and work area supplies.
• Operates departmental vehicles and equipment to include vacuums, lifts, ladders, extractor, etc.
• Transports small equipment, tools and supplies between departments or buildings.
• Sets up tables and chairs in conference, event area or hall.
• Reports maintenance concerns to Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance personnel.
• Communicates with on-coming shift the status of projects, problems, concerns etc.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
