Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort on Oregon's southern coast is seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for guests and colleagues. You will clean guest areas, gaming spaces, and common areas, while reporting maintenance needs and supporting event setups.

Preferred candidates have a GED or high school diploma, are at least 21, and can work flexible shifts including weekends. Training provided, with opportunities to grow within a hospitality-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Keep spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for guests and team members.
• Clean slot machines, rooms, lobbies, dining areas, restrooms, and public spaces.
• Maintain and clean departmental equipment and work areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and transport supplies as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns to supervisors and management.
• Assist with setups for events and conferences.

What you bring to the table

• Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Cleans slot machines, slot chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, rest rooms, corridors, public areas, elevators, stairways, and locker areas.
• Cleans and maintains departmental equipment and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and polishes floors, cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and cleans woodwork, washes windows, blinds, door panels, and sills.
• Empties and cleans waste containers and ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area and disposes of in compactor or recycle container.
• Replenishes restrooms, kitchen and work area supplies.
• Operates departmental vehicles and equipment to include vacuums, lifts, ladders, extractor, etc.
• Transports small equipment, tools and supplies between departments or buildings.
• Sets up tables and chairs in conference, event area or hall.
• Reports maintenance concerns to Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance personnel.
• Communicates with on-coming shift the status of projects, problems, concerns etc.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to accomplish work tasks by a given deadline.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to guests and other employees of the organization.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
