Job summary

Aramark is seeking an Environmental Services Director to join Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab.

The role oversees all environmental service operations to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly living environment for residents, with authority over hiring, training and staffing decisions. The candidate should have supervisory experience in environmental services and knowledge of infection control, regulations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience in environmental services preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs housekeeping operations and Environmental Services staff to keep the facility clean and safe.
• Makes administrative decisions regarding hiring, training and staff assignments.
• Develops systems to maximize effectiveness of housekeeping functions.
• Performs regular inspections to ensure safety and sanitary conditions.
• Oversees supplies, chemicals, and equipment purchases as needed.
• Maintains records and adheres to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Participates in disaster planning and staff training, with emergency readiness.
• Reviews staff performance and counsels or disciplines as needed.
