Job summary

Progressive Care Center is actively seeking an Environmental Services Director to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. You will supervise staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with nursing for scheduling while upholding high standards of cleanliness and compliance.

The role emphasizes PPE use, safety protocols, and reporting maintenance needs to the Maintenance Director, with a focus on efficient supply management and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• 1 year experience in housekeeping or related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities and staff assignments
• Collaborate with nursing services to schedule cleaning tasks in resident living areas and common spaces
• Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet resident and facility needs
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols, especially when handling soiled linens or potential biohazards
• Clean, organize, and restock housekeeping carts and linen/storage rooms, keeping them neat and orderly
• Inspect and report missing or damaged furniture, equipment, or fixtures to the Maintenance Director
• Manage inventory and keep all supply closets stocked and organized
• Report maintenance issues in resident rooms promptly to the Maintenance Director
