Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community, in Maplewood, MN seeks an Environmental Services Director to lead maintenance, housekeeping and laundry operations, ensure preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies. The role requires a hands-on leader with a Boilers License and strong knowledge of building systems.

The ideal candidate will supervise multiple departments, provide excellent customer service, and manage priorities while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Boilers License is required.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary team and interact professionally with residents, families, staff, leadership, and contractors.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to lead/supervise and organize goals.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests daily.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Experience in senior housing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping; handle routine repairs and projects.
• Develop schedules for preventive maintenance programs and ensure equipment is operable.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies; on-call as needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for contracted services.
• Serve on Safety Committee and review surveys.
• Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure resident and staff safety.
• Complete heavy janitorial/maintenance tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community, has a rare opening for an Environmental Services Director to lead our team. As the Environmental Services Director, you'll oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations; manage preventative maintenance programs; and respond to maintenance requests and on‑call emergencies as needed. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on supervisor with a Boiler's License, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.

Position Type:Full‑Time

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Monday‑ Friday) including on‑call for emergencies

Pay Range: $68,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Location:1438 County Road C East, Maplewood, MN 55109

Environmental Services Director Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the departments of maintenance, laundry and housekeeping direct routine maintenance repairs and projects, and respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff.
• Assist with schedules for preventative maintenance programs for major equipmentand make sure itis in good operating condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff as well as perform routine repairs.
• Communicate and build relationships with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
• Serve on Safety Committee, managing records, and reviewing surveys.
• Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.
• Complete heavy jani torial/ maintenance work as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Environmental Services Director Qualifications

• Boilers License is required.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with others within an interdisciplinary team and professionally interact with residents, family members, staff, corporate leadership, and outside contractors.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work as a team leader/supervisor, organize departmental goals and objectives
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Previous experience in senior housing preferred, but not required.
