Job summary

King David Center in Beachwood, OH is seeking a Manager to direct housekeeping, laundry, and Central Supply staff, oversee cleaning and supply replenishment, and contribute to department quality assurance, purchasing, scheduling, training, and morale.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with residents and peers to maintain a safe, clean, and well-supported care environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year housekeeping supervisory experience or 3 years general supervisory experience or 3 years experience as an aide or porter.
• Familiar with various floor coverings, cleaning materials, draperies, shade, cleaning and housekeeping/laundry methods and equipment.
• Neat in appearance.
• Able to supervise employees with due consideration for peers and residents.

Job Summary:

The Manager is responsible for the direction of the housekeeping/laundry and Central Supply department staff. They supervise the cleaning of areas and replenishing of housekeeping/laundry and Central supplies. These individuals have a key role in development and operation of department quality assurance, purchasing, establishment of staff scheduling, training and employee morale.

Essential Qualifications:

• Must be a high school graduate, or the equivalent.


• Must have at least one year of housekeeping supervisory experience or three years general supervisory experience or three years experience as an aide or porter.


• Must be familiar with various types and composition of floor coverings, cleaning materials, draperies, shade, cleaning and general housekeeping/laundry methods and equipment.


• Must be neat in appearance.


• Must be able to supervise employees in performing tasks with due consideration for peers and residents in vicinity.
