Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a hospital environmental services worker to maintain safety and cleanliness at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. This role involves floor care, dusting, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and general upkeep in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Onsite position with day shift responsibilities; prior experience with hospital cleaning equipment is preferred. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the role as part of our dedicated facilities team.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish restroom supplies as needed.
• Picks up debris around building.
• Operates and controls high and low speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities.
• Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
