Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas per infection control standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment.
• Maintain floors and surfaces; perform stripping, refinishing per procedures.
• Wash walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, doors to maintain hygiene.
• Restock supplies; monitor inventory and report shortages.
• Handle trash and biohazard materials safely per safety/HIPAA rules.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; report malfunctions.
• Assist with minor repairs and report larger facility issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Indiana: Lutheran Hospital requires completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of hire.
