Job summary

Care New England is seeking a laundry and cleaning worker to perform general cleaning and laundry operations in accordance with standard procedures set forth by the Department of Environmental Services. May be assigned to collection and distribution tasks.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, laundry sorting, sanitation and safety compliance, and assisting with various duties as needed, within a hospital environment. Training provided; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Eighth grade education or equivalent.
• Experience with battery-powered, large area vacuums, carpet cleaning, liquid extraction, and wet/dry system preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language required.
• Three months on-the-job training is necessary.
