Job summary

Women & Infants Hospital is seeking a dedicated cleaner in Providence to perform general cleaning and laundry operations in accordance with Environmental Services procedures. The role may include collection and distribution tasks throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities include daily and cycle cleanings, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and handling soiled laundry with care. Eighth grade education and English proficiency are required, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Eighth grade education or equivalent.
• Experience with battery-powered, large area vacuums, carpet cleaning, liquid extraction, and wet/dry system preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language required.
• Three months on-the-job training is necessary.

• Collects soiled laundry from various areas of the hospital and sorts according to type, condition and weight.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment, carts, laundry chutes, and sorting room for the hospital.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested.
