Job summary

Health Ministries Clinic in Newton, KS is seeking a dependable Environmental Services (Custodian) to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m.; duties include cleaning, restocking supplies, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining confidentiality and health and safety compliance. Previous custodial or housekeeping experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned clinic areas, including hallways, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, floors, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove stains from surfaces.
• Restock cleaning supplies and restroom essentials.
• Disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Empty waste containers and dispose of trash.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and EVS closet.
• Report maintenance needs, equipment issues, and safety concerns to management.
• Secure clinic doors after operating hours.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow health and safety regulations.

Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Environmental Services (Custodian) to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment in Newton, KS.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean assigned clinic areas, including hallways, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, floors, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove stains from surfaces.
• Restock cleaning supplies and restroom essentials.
• Disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Empty waste containers and properly dispose of trash.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and keep the EVS closet neat and organized.
• Report maintenance needs, equipment issues, and safety concerns to management.
• Secure clinic doors after operating hours.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
