Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment in patient rooms, public areas, and offices in Ohio. Training is available for the right candidate; varying start times between early and mid-mornings with every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Experience in a hospital or healthcare cleaning role is preferred, with strong attention to infection control and professionalism in interactions with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred; cleaning experience strongly preferred.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.

Environmental Services Aide Position Summary

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. This role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization. We are looking to add a part-time EVS/Housekeeping tech to our team. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. This position will have varying start times between early and mid-mornings. Every other weekend and holidays as needed is a must.

Essential Functions

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
