UMC Health System is seeking an Environmental Service Worker to support infection control and sanitation across the hospital and campus facilities. The role reports to the Supervisor, Environmental Services and involves maintaining area records and assisting with patient room cleaning.
Requires ability to lift/move equipment and work in varying temperatures, with exposure to cleaning chemicals and biohazards.

The Environmental Service Worker focuses on Infection Control and Prevention by providing proper cleaning and sanitation throughout the hospital and assigned site campuses
Reports to: Supervisor, Environmental Services
Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations N/A
This position will have interaction with patients, their families, and hospital medical staff
Requires wear or personal protective equipment (PPE); Ability to lift/move various types of equipment, supplies/chemicals, and furniture of light/medium weight. Work requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and stretching.
This position is subject to indoor and outdoor environmental changes that may include varying temperatures. Exposure to chemicals used in cleaning supplies and blood/ blood borne pathogens is high risk.
