UMC Health System in Texas is seeking an Environmental Services Worker focused on infection control and sanitation across hospital and site campuses. Reports to the Supervisor, Environmental Services.
You will perform housekeeping in patient rooms and public areas, handle isolation rooms, exchange linen and sharp boxes, and support departments. Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma and hospital cleaning experience.

This position will have interaction with patients, their families, and hospital medical staff.
Requires wear or personal protective equipment (PPE); Ability to lift/move various types of equipment, supplies/chemicals, and furniture of light/medium weight. Work requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and stretching.
This position is subject to indoor and outdoor environmental changes that may include varying temperatures. Exposure to chemicals used in cleaning supplies and blood/ blood borne pathogens is highly likely.
