Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Housekeeper cleans assigned areas within an MVHS facility according to schedule.

Core Job Responsibilities

1. Cleans assigned areas throughout the facility such as lobby and common areas, rooms, offices, rest room areas, and their contents/fixtures according to policy.
2. Maintains an adequate amount of supplies in designated areas (e.g., paper towels, soap, cleaning items, etc.).
3. Assists in moving furniture and maintaining lighting in designated areas.
4. Manages trash removal to the designated collection site.
5. Notifies supervisor of unsafe or inappropriate conditions or equipment.
6. Uses supplies in a cost-effective manner.
7. Assists with special or non-routine cleaning as assigned or scheduled (e.g., annual summer housecleaning).
8. Assists other housekeepers with special projects such as meeting setups and dismantles as requested.
9. Uses good customer service skills and builds rapport with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
10. Accepts responsibility for snow and ice removal around the building when necessary.

Education/Experience Requirements
