Job summary

Logan Health Shelby is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to support assigned areas by performing duties that ensure cleanliness, safety, and infection control. The role requires following written and oral instructions and maintaining high standards of patient and staff environment.

Shift is variable with 8-hour blocks. The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, confidentiality, and dependable attendance while contributing to Logan Health's mission of quality, compassionate

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the English language required.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes job functions to maintain proper workflow.
  • Identifies the need and performs duties with minimal direction.
  • Maintains equipment and resources in assigned area(s).
  • Adheres to aseptic techniques and infection control practices as applicable.
  • Follows confidentiality and safeguards for patient and/or customer information.
  • Responds to paging in a timely manner.
  • Performs duties per department procedures and state laws.
  • Maintains regular attendance as scheduled.

Job description

The Environmental Services Technician performs a wide range of duties as applicable to the assigned area(s) procedures and protocol. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision, and values of Logan Health.

Qualifications

Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred. Proficiency in the English language required. Possess ability to follow written and oral instructions required. Self motivated and possess ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a diverse customer and coworker population required. Prior experience answering phones and responding to pages preferred. Possess knowledge of the proper use of commercial equipment and devices preferred. RQI Responder within 7 days of hire/transfer or before indpendent patient care, whichever comes first. To be eligible for driver portion: Current Driver’s License required. Must possess a good driving record clear of moving violations in the past five (5) years and no major driving offenses (DUI), etc. Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes. Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently. Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

  • Responds to pages in a timely manner as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Performs job duties efficiently and per department procedure, protocol and in accordance with State of Montana laws and regulations, for assigned area(s).
  • Stocks assigned carts for appropriate departments in a timely manner as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
  • Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs.
  • Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
  • Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Shift: Variable - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
