Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Environmental Services Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled hospital environment. This role requires knowledge of environmental services with a focus on hygiene and patient safety, supporting care teams across Mercy facilities.

The ideal candidate will bring prior hospital EVS experience, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a proven track record of performing manual tasks while delivering quality customer service

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience.
• Experience following written and verbal instructions.
• Experience performing manual tasks.
• Experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
