Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Environmental Services Technician to uphold cleanliness, safety, and infection control in our hospital setting. You will apply specialized environmental services knowledge to maintain a sterile, safe environment that supports patient care.

Preferred candidates have prior hospital environmental service experience and can follow written and verbal instructions while providing excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in hospital environmental services preferred.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience interacting with the public and providing good customer service.

Position Details

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
