GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Manager, Assistant Director, and Director of Environmental Services, the Supervisor inspects assigned areas to ensure compliance with established cleaning standards. They determine cleaning effectiveness by staff, assess the need for special cleaning, and report items in need of repair or in unsatisfactory condition, following department procedures and documentation requests. The Supervisor trains new hires and orients staff to hospital/infection control and department procedures. They review employee application of chemicals and proper use, ensure soiled linen is collected and removed from responsibilities, and recommend disciplinary actions in accordance with Human Resources guidelines. The Supervisor is responsible for performing job duties aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 12-24 months of experience in an institutional/hospitality setting; one year of supervisory experience.
