Freeport-McMoRan seeks an Environmental professional at the Chino mine in New Mexico to provide technical support for Environmental projects and programs. You will install and maintain monitoring instruments, analyze data for compliance, and help manage risk while coordinating with management and vendors.

Responsibilities include leading audits, maintaining regulatory knowledge, and potentially serving as project manager on small to mid-size environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Earth Science or related natural science or Mathematics/Computer Science including Accounting and Finance, or Business Management or other Bachelor’s degree; 3+ years environmental or related experience.
• Master’s degree in a related field with 1+ year environmental or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Agricultural, Mining, Metallurgical, Geological or similar) with 3+ years environmental or related experience; or Master’s in Engineering with 1+ year environmental or related experience.

Responsabilités

• Installs, operates, and maintains environmental and emission monitoring instruments and testing equipment; analyzes data for regulatory compliance.
• Evaluates and assesses environmental risk and develops programs for risk reduction.
• Collaborates in recommending actions to management for regulatory compliance.
• Maintains records and files of environmental data and communications.
• Evaluates and administers contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of site environmental policies and procedures.
