Job summary

AGEISS Inc. in Concord, CA is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support MOTCO. The role focuses on Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material management, data collection, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7–10 years of experience, with DoD program exposure and a valid driver’s license. The position requires strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental sciences, engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in assigned tasks and environmental compliance.
• Experience working on DoD environmental programs/projects.
• Professional environmental registration or certification a plus.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance, regulations, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to pass a federal agency background check.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement the MOTCO Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material programs.
• Collect and upload every hazardous material item used on-site into HMID/HMIDS.
• Manage databases and assist with management of hazardous material and waste sites for compliance.
• Monitor warehouse practices, inventory control procedures, and document processing.
• Perform data collection, organization, and presentation.
• Track hazardous waste/materials, approve processes, and prepare shipments.
• Assist with audits/inspections scheduling and execution.
• Review documents for technical adequacy and assist with manuals.
• Provide technical expertise to assigned tasks/projects.
• Conduct field work or research as assigned.
• Attend and participate in meetings with the base customer.
• Drive on behalf of AGEISS business.
