Job summary

AGEISS Inc in Concord, CA is seeking a Biologist/Environmental Scientist to support MOTCO, focusing on Natural Resources management and compliance with federal laws.

Duties include organizing Hazardous Waste/Material programs, conducting species surveys, GIS data collection, and preparing weekly reports.

Qualifications: biology-related degree, 7–10 years of environmental experience, DoD program exposure, MS Office, valid driver's license, and ability to pass a federal background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, ecology, natural resources, environmental sciences, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in assigned tasks and environmental compliance.
• Experience with DoD environmental programs/projects is preferred.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance, regulations and agencies.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement MOTCO Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material programs.
• Oversee and conduct species surveys, invasive species surveys, habitat assessments, bat roost surveys, and collect GIS data.
• Review survey data, Biological Assessments, Regulatory Agency protocols and references.
• Construct, install, repair, and monitor natural resources projects and data entry into pest management systems.
• Prepare weekly summary reports of inspections and issues identified.
• Conduct QA/QC on technical documents and track regulatory updates.
• Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
