Job summary

AGEISS Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support Fence-to-Fence tasks at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. The role primarily focuses on waste profiling for Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material management, ensuring compliance and accurate data handling.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of DoD environmental program experience and familiarity with SDS review, EESOH-MIS, and MS Office.

• 3 years of experience in compliance, restoration, or related environmental support.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance, regulations, and DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement Patrick Space Force Base Fence-To-Fence programs assigned to this position.
• Perform waste profiling for Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material programs.
• Review SDS, manufacturer information, and analytical results to classify waste for disposal.
• Use EESOH-MIS for tracking hazardous waste/materials, approvals, data pulls, and ad-hoc reporting.
• Contribute to data management and prepare technical documentation.

We are seeking to place an Environmental Scientist to support Fence-to-Fence tasks at Patrick Space Force Base. This role will predominately support waste profiling requirements for Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material management tasks.

TASKS INCLUDE:

• Organize and implement the Patrick Space Force Base Fence-To-Fence programs that are assigned to this position.
• Perform waste profiling in support of Hazardous Waste (HW) and Hazardous Material (HM) programs.
• Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS), manufacturer information, and analytical results to properly classify/profile waste for disposal.
• Perform data collection, organization, and presentation.
• Expertise using EESOH-MIS for tracking hazardous waste and hazardous materials, approving processes, data pulls, and ad-hoc reporting.
• Assist with the management of data.
• Review documents for technical adequacy and assist with technical manuals.
• Provide technical expertise to assigned tasks/projects.
• Conduct research, or other field work, as assigned.
• Attend, participate, organize, and/or facilitate meetings as requested by the base customer.
• Other duties as assigned by TO/Project Manager and/or base client.
• Drive on behalf of AGEISS business.
• Some travel may be required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, environmental engineering, sciences, or other related area.
• 3 years of experience in compliance, restoration or other related support.
• Experience working on DoD environmental programs/projects.
• Professional environmental registration or certification a plus.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance, remediation, regulations, and regulatory agencies.
• Individuals already possessing an adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are preferred.
• Ability to successfully pass a federal agency background check is required.
• Working knowledge of Federal environmental statutes and State-specific regulations pertaining to HW and HM
• Possess a working knowledge of other Federal environmental statutes and State-specific regulations such as each State Environmental Protection Act and the State Administrative Code, local regulations and statutes, as well as AF and/or DoD environmental regulations and documentation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Word and Excel) is required.
• Valid Driver’s License required
