Job summary

Penn Environmental & Remediation, Inc. seeks an Environmental Scientist to perform field work, wetland delineations, and habitat assessments from our Pittsburgh, PA office.

The role supports siting and permitting for energy and infrastructure projects and requires familiarity with environmental laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in environmental consulting, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel within Pennsylvania up to 20-30%.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in environmental studies, planning, natural resources, engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience within environmental consulting/regulatory field.
  • Experience in wetland delineation and field work (WPIT/PWS certification desirable).
  • Client-oriented, highly motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field work including wetland delineations and habitat assessments.
  • Participate in energy planning/routing/siting studies.
  • Prepare survey reports and permit applications for federal/state environmental permits.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Ensure timely completion of high-quality work.
