Job summary

Kleinfelder's Environmental team is seeking an Environmental Permit & Planning Professional to join the EP&P Team in the Allentown, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; or Mechanicsburg, PA area. The role focuses on wetland surveys, regulatory permitting, and client coordination to deliver compliant environmental solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CWA permitting, Phase I assessments, and the ability to mentor staff within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Biological, or Ecological Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in environmental consulting or regulatory agency work in the region.
• Experience coordinating with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Ability to prepare permitting documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform wetland and other natural resources surveys.
• Lead permitting efforts under Section 401/404 of the Clean Water Act and related state programs.
• Engage with federal, state, and local agencies and clients on regulatory matters.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposal development and marketing.
