Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist to join our New Providence, NJ team in Engineering, Construction, and Remediation. You will support site investigation, groundwater monitoring, and regulatory compliance projects while working with project managers and senior staff.

The role emphasizes learning, flexibility, and attention to detail within a growing, high-performing team, with regional travel limited as needed.

Qualifications

• ,Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience or Geology from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations (NJDEP).
• 0-1 year or internship experience in field of environmental compliance or groundwater remediation preferred.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER health and safety training certificate (with up-to-date 8-hr refresher).

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance and remediation projects in field and office.
• Perform field work including environmental assessments, investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, site inspections, and subcontractor oversight.
• Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, work plans, design documents, and construction documents.
• Assist in managing medium-to-large, complex tasks to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist during proposal development including work scopes and budgets.
