About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Scientist to join our growing Environmental Team in either: Jacksonville, FL (Preferred); or Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate possesses 5-8 years of experience serving as an environmental consultant and/or environmental regulatory agent, preferably with experience in projects such as linear infrastructure, renewables, energy, oil & gas, transportation, unique residential/commercial development, and federal projects. The successful candidate would lead environmental field studies (e.g., wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, NPDES inspections, Phase I/II ESAs, aquatic habitat assessments, etc.) and document production (e.g., technical reports, NEPA documents, permit applications, and support documents). They will be mentored by our environmental professionals while supporting multidisciplinary projects and interfacing with clients.

Knowledge And Experience
  • Jurisdictional wetland/water delineations
  • Protected species habitat assessments and surveys
  • Federal, state, and local permitting & mitigation support
  • Managing schedules and environmental studies
  • Coordination with interdisciplinary teams for infrastructure projects
  • Experience with linear infrastructure, renewables, energy, oil & gas, transportation, residential/commercial development, and federal projects is preferred
Qualifications
  • BS in relevant environmental discipline
  • Experience leading ecology field tasks and preparing technical documentation; level (I/II/III) to be determined by experience
  • Knowledge of wetland science, flora/fauna, ecosystems of Southeastern US, and relevant regulations
  • Proficient with GIS and mapping
  • Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork in challenging conditions
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Wetland Scientist, Certified Ecologist) are a plus
  • Team-oriented, positive attitude, self-motivated
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally
