Job summary

Penn E&R, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist to work out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

The successful candidate will conduct environmental analysis and field work related to wetlands, streams, and environmental impact assessments for energy, infrastructure, and development projects. Ideal applicants have a BS/BA in a relevant field, 4+ years in environmental consulting, and familiarity with environmental laws and permit applications.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in environmental studies, planning, natural resources, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting and/or regulatory field.
• Experience with wetland delineation and field work; WPIT or PWS certification a plus.
• Travel up to 20-30% within Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work including wetland delineations and habitat assessments.
• Participate in linear energy planning, routing, siting studies.
• Write survey reports and prepare permit applications for federal/state environmental permits.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Ensure timely completion of high-quality work.
