Penn Environmental & Remediation, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Wetlands Scientist to lead field delineations, habitat assessments, and permit preparation. You will support siting for renewable and infrastructure projects, coordinate with agencies, and mentor junior staff. Travel 20–30% within Pennsylvania is expected; strong writing, data management, and GIS skills are valued.

This role emphasizes independent work, attention to safety, and delivering timely, high‑quality environmental analyses.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in environmental studies, planning, natural resources, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting or regulatory field.
• Experience with wetland delineation and field work; PWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead field work including wetland delineations and habitat assessments.
• Prepare permit applications for federal and state environmental permits.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Participate in project management duties including budget tracking and scheduling.
• Support other lines of business, including remediation and sampling.
