Job summary

Shannon & Wilson, an employee-owned consulting firm, seeks an Environmental Scientist or Engineer for its St. Louis office. The role covers diverse environmental projects, with emphasis on planning, data analysis, reporting, fieldwork, and client interaction.

The candidate should have 7–14 years of experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a willingness to travel. Bachelor’s in a relevant field is required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a natural science or engineering field; master's preferred.
• 7 to 14 years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to support multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive environmental consulting and/or engineering from planning to report writing.
• Perform Phase I, II, & III Environmental Site Assessments.
• Review, evaluate, and interpret environmental data and prepare summaries.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and staff professionally.
• Follow QA, Health & Safety, and Loss Prevention policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
