Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking an Associate, Biologist or Environmental Scientist to lead business development and technical work on diverse projects in the built and natural environments. This full-time role involves contributing to client relationships and project execution across multiple offices in MI/OH, including Cincinnati and nearby cities.

The position requires a biology/enviro science background, 15+ years in the field with PM experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field.
15+ years related experience including 5 years of Project Management.
PWS certification preferred.
Experience with local, state and federal permitting and wetlands in Midwest MI/OH regions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desire to advance expertise and visibility in the industry.
Experience in environmental design and contract package development.
Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the work.

Responsibilities

Lead and identify new client opportunities and develop internal/external networks into a book of business.
Lead business development for natural resources and permitting in the northwest region across multiple markets.
Develop scopes of work and proposals within your area of expertise, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Coach and mentor staff to ensure high-quality project tasks and deliverables.
Present technical information and attend networking events to identify opportunities.
Lead proposals and technical reporting for natural resource and permitting projects.
Support restoration and mitigation design development and project field implementation.
Ensure health and safety protocols are followed across all work.
