Job summary

HDR is seeking an environmental compliance professional to support Alaska solid waste projects. You will conduct field work, including groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, and landfill gas monitoring, and assist with permit applications and technical studies.

This full-time role is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and requires collaboration with project managers, clients, and subject matter experts, plus a commitment to high-quality deliverables and safe field work in remote conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or closely related field
• Knowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation techniques, and agency coordination requirements
• Excellent writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work: groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, and landfill gas monitoring and sampling
• Support solid waste permit applications, including writing and reviewing technical work products (environmental documents and technical studies)
• Work with project managers, clients, and subject matter experts for permitting needs
