Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an Environmental Sciences and Planning Lead to join the Transportation Business Group in North Carolina. You will provide leadership for staff development, ensure high-quality deliverables, and coordinate with HDR’s Water, Resources, and Federal groups.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in environmental planning.
Professional registration, license or certification may be required.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Good leadership and organizational skills.
Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

Oversee operations of production including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support.
Serve as a Project Manager with production and management responsibilities on projects.
Manage client relationships and pursue future assignments with key local clients.
Lead and coordinate services with other sections and plan marketing/interviews.
Prepare and analyze NEPA-related documents and environmental studies.
Direct multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with marketing and national efforts.
Ensure work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated via project management systems.
