Job summary

Earthjustice's Washington, DC Regional Office is seeking one part-time spring 2027 science intern. This paid internship may be remote within the U.S. or a hybrid schedule from our Washington, DC office.

Under the supervision of the Sr. Staff Scientist and Sr. Research and Policy Analyst, the intern may contribute comment letters, factsheets for community partners, blog posts, internal memos, data analyses, and engagement with Congressional members/staffers.

Qualifications

• Graduate student with an expected May 2027 graduation or later.
• Background in environmental science, biology, chemistry, engineering, public health, or related field.
• Experience with environmental health topics.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Strong research and literature review skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to Earthjustice values of Justice, Excellence, Inclusion, and Partnership.
• Willing to commit 15 hours/week for 10-12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute comment letters, factsheets, blogs, and internal memos under supervision.
• Engage with Congressional members/staffers as needed.
