Job summary

WSP USA hosts hundreds of interns across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our Earth & Environment Team seeks a full-time Environmental Science Intern for Summer 2027 to work in Roseville, CA or San Francisco, CA.

This 12-week internship targets undergraduate or graduate students and starts May 17, 2027, with some flexibility on start date.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Science or related program with anticipated graduation August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Environmental Science and related projects.
• Interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Able to take direction from mentors and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, and related tools.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental science tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Environmental Science.
• Assist with field data collection, data analysis, and project execution.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies.
• Occasional travel may be required; no relocation or housing assistance provided.
