WSP USA invites motivated students to join our Earth & Environment Team as an Environmental Engineering Intern for Summer 2027, based in Oakland, CA or Rancho Cordova, CA. This is a full-time temporary internship within our Summer Internship Program, spanning 12 weeks from May 17, 2027, with flexible start date.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Environmental Engineering or related undergraduate or graduate program, 18+ years old, and eager to develop technical and professional skills through

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Environmental Engineering or related undergraduate program.
• Anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to communicate clearly to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.
• Commitment to workplace safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Environmental Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and technical report writing for compliance projects.
• Collect and maintain project documentation (notes, field notes, minutes, QC docs, SOPs).
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies.
• Note: no relocation or housing assistance provided.
