Job summary

Nebraska Indian Community College is seeking a full-time Environmental Science Faculty to teach across our environmental health courses at Macy, Santee, or South Sioux City campuses. The role combines teaching, research, and service with a 12-month contract and a starting salary range of $55,000–$78,000.

Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s in Environmental Science (Doctorate preferred) and demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and experience with online learning tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field required.
• Doctorate preferred; teaching experience in higher education is favored.
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and video conferencing desired.
• Evidence of leadership and collaboration with students, faculty, and communities must be shown.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses across environmental science topics; schedule may include online and on-campus classes.
• Engage in research, academic service, and community outreach as part of duties.
• Support development of Indigenous Environmental Health programs and capstone projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and students to advance program goals.
